GOALS - OBJECTIVES

 

          Goal 1:       Improve Planning Process and Curriculum

 

                   Annual Performance Objective 1:  100 % of all students in all student population groups in

                   grades 3, 4 and 5 will pass each portion of the TAKS by June 29, 2005.

 

                   Annual Performance Objective 2:  100 % of all students will have mastery of TEKS in

                   social studies and science and 100 % of 5th graders will pass each portion of the TAKS in science.

 

                   Annual Performance Objective 3:  Teachers will target individual needs of all students in special

                   programs as evidenced by 100% TAKS passage.

 

                   Annual Performance Objective 4:  100 % of At-Risk students will receive the additional

                   assistance needed to progress academically and pass the TAKS at a rate of 100%.

 

                   Annual Performance Objective 5:  By June 1, 2005, 100 % of Sundown Elementary School

                   staff will be provided training opportunities to grow professionally.

 

                   Annual Performance Objective 6:  By completion of 5th grade, 100 % of Sundown

                   Elementary School students will be able to use technology to make decisions, acquire information,

                   solve problems, and communicate.

    

          Annual Performance Objective 7:  100 % of Sundown Elementary students will be involved in    

          cultural awareness activities.

          Goal 2:       Improve School Climate

                  

                   Annual Performance Objective 1:  By June 1, 2005, the attendance rate at Sundown Elementary

          School will be 97 %.

 

                   Annual Performance Objective 2:  By May, 2005, 100 % of students will understand

                   appropriate behaviors as modeled and taught by teachers in order to become quality citizens

                   and life-long learners as evidenced by teacher observations.

 

 

 

          Goal 3:       Improve Parental Involvement and Communications

 

          Annual Performance Objective 1:  Involve 100 % of parents in at least one school
