The Sundown High School Girls Cross Country team has advanced to State by securing a Regional Championship! On Tuesday, November 10th, at Mae Simmons park in Lubbock, the girls placed 1st overall as a team with 65 points by beating runner-up Gruver, who finished with 70.
Individually for SHS, Gabby Peralta placed 5th with a time of 13:18. Francis Ybarra placed 6th with a time of 13:25. Alexa Rodriguez placed 16th with a time of 13:49. Jasmin Posadas placed 17th with a time of 13:51. Natalie Urias placed 21st with a time of 14:02. Alyssa Russell placed 34th with a time of 14:24. And to round up the girls, Grace Peralta placed 41st with a time of 14:34. Good luck to the girls at State. They compete on Tuesday, November 24th at 9:00am at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Texas. BRING HOME THE GOLD!
