Coach Tanner Clark

Fresh out of McMurry University, Tanner Clark decided to begin his coaching career at Sundown ISD. Knowing he wanted to be a coach while attending Crosbyton High School, Coach Clark had his eyes on Sundown, as he knew it was a great school with excellent students and staff. The new elementary swimming teacher and coach’s favorite thing about Sundown so far is the pride of the community and work ethic of the students.

Coach Clark enjoys playing golf, hanging out with family and friends, and relaxing. His favorite movie is “Friday Night Lights” and his favorite food is Mexican food.

Coach Clark was inspired to start teaching and coaching by Brannon Rodgers, a coach of his at Crosbyton. Clark’s favorite quote is the following, “The greatest glory in living lies not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall.” -Nelson Mandela. Coach Clark states he likes this quote because “It is a constant reminder that everyone is going to fail at some point in their life.” He also believes that a person’s success does not come from not failing, but from responding to failure.

Please help welcome Coach Clark to Sundown and make him feel at home.
