Senior Spotlight - Courtney Black

Senior Courtney Black, Class of 2021, joined Sundown ISD when she was in eighth grade. During her short time in middle school, her favorite memory was when Katie Sehon broke the desk in Coach Legan’s class. Her favorite high school memory was when she broke her ankle in Tulia and Hannah Hulse could not stop laughing at her. While in high school, Courtney prided herself in competing at state level for debate and being on the Varsity Golf and Softball teams. Courtney’s favorite class in high school was Mr. Rich’s welding class. She plans on going to college at Tarleton State University to study Pre-Vet medicine. Mrs. Jones provided Courtney’s most inspirational quote, “The world will treat you well if you are humble.” Courtney’s biggest role models in her life are her parents. She would like to advise the under-classmen to “Prepare yourself now for the road ahead.” Good luck to Courtney and the rest of the Senior Class of 2021!
