Cody Gaona joined the Class of 2021 in the 3-year-old program. His favorite memory of elementary school was when he could not get off the monkey bars, so he just let go… and broke his arm. In middle school he remembers when Carson Holson was showing him and James Hernadez his scooter. Carson went too fast and crashed. Cody will never forget when he and the rest of the football team celebrated in the locker room after beating Lindsay. He was a part of the leadership class as a junior, however, his favorite class was welding with Mr. Rich. Cody plans to attend South Plains College to obtain a welding degree. A quote he tries to live by is, “Some want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen” - Michael Jordan. His mom has been his role model while in school. His advice to underclassmen is “Don’t wait until the day your homework is due to get things done, do it the day before.” Best wishes to Cody and the Class of 2021.
