The Sundown 7th grade team unveiled a tremendous performance against the Whirlwinds last Thursday on October 10. Quarterback Jarren Flores ran behind a great offense to lead him to the endzone to score all the touchdowns. The astounding players have practiced very hard to come out with a win against Floydada. The ending score was 40-0 with the Roughnecks coming out on top. The 7th grade team is now preparing for the Hale Center Owls that is taking place on October 17 at Slaughter Field.
The Sundown 8th grade team took part in a significant game against the Whirlwinds last Thursday on October 10. “Overall we need to be more disciplined and get started early,'' struggled Coach Robinson indicated. The Roughnecks are still trying to find their mojo as they struggled against Floydada. The Roughnecks hope to get back on the winning track again when Hale Center travels to Slaughter Field to take on the Roughnecks Thursday, October 17th at 6:15 pm.
