The Sundown 8th grade took part of a tremendous game in Post, winning 28-22. “ Our kids came through and played really tough because they weren’t gonna let cold weather get in their way,” said Coach Robinson. The Roughnecks had a magnificent goal line stand on the one yard line. “ Our boys just shut them out on the one yard line which turned the game around,” said Coach Robinson. The next drive the Roughnecks turned the game around and took the ball to the house with a 99 yard touchdown drive. “Overall our boys played their hearts out which lead them to be successful and come out with the win,” said Coach Robinson. The Roughnecks played hard until every last bit of sweat was spilled. The Roughnecks football team consists of Julian Posadas, Landon Sehon, Aiden Corrales, Jacob McAdams, Rickey Melendez, Jayson Martinez, Xavyn Garcia, Edgar Mendoza, Watson Evans, and Jacob Lujan. These outstanding players put in every ounce of work everyday to become the team who they are today. The Roughnecks are now preparing for the Olton Mustangs at Olton, Texas on October 31 at 5:00.
