Senior - Dylan Day

This Friday afternoon, the Sundown Roughnecks will be taking on the Hawley Bearcats in the Regional round of the Class 2A Division One Playoffs at Wolf Stadium in Colorado City, Texas at 7:00 pm. The Roughnecks are going into the third round of the playoffs with a record of 8-4 after coming up with another big win over Lindsay to advance to the next round. The Roughnecks offense is coming into the game stronger and better than ever after they put up an immense score of 45 points. The Roughnecks defense had a slow start, but they finally got back into gear and stopped Lindsay’s passing game and only held them to 21 points. The Roughnecks defense are looking to overwhelm the Bearcats offense and dominate the line of scrimmage as they try to turn the ball back over to the good guys. Last year the Roughnecks ran into Hawley in the Area round and fought until every last drop of blood, sweat, and tears were spilled and came out with a huge goal line stand to seal the win for the Roughnecks. The Roughnecks are hoping to do just that and come out with a victory to advance to the Quarter finals and play the winner of West Texas and Post. “Work hard and have fun, and play every down like it’s your last,” said Senior quarterback Christian Huey. This week's game is going to be an exciting one. It is the 806 boys versus the boys from 325 for a chance to advance to the state quarterfinals. This Friday come out and support the red, white, and blue. It’s always a great day to be a Sundown Roughneck. GO ROUGHNECKS!!!!! BEAT THE BEARCATS!!!!
