Senior Spotlight - Lexie Lee

Lexie Lee joined the Roughneck family in first grade and has not looked back since. Lexie’s favorite memory from elementary was the first grade follies when she got to dance. Lexie Lee was very fond of basketball, especially when her middle school team went undefeated their 7th grade year finishing 17-0 for the season. Lexie has been a varsity basketball player for the last three years now and academically is one of the top ranked students in the Class of 2021. Lexie’s funniest memory from high school is when Coach Watson broke off the key in the bus. 

Lexie has been a part of the student council and the National Honor Society. While in high school she was also part of the state qualifying band in 2017 and 2018 and a member of the Pride of the Oil Patch band all four years at SHS. Lexie has also been a part of the cheer squad all four year of her high school career and she has participated prose interpretation for three years. Her senior year Lexie was nominated class president of the senior class. 

Lexie has been a member of the Hockley County 4-H from 2010 to the present. Lexie’s favorite class was Mr Lacy. Lexie Lee plans to continue her education at South Plains College and plans to major in chemistry. Lexie's favorite quote is, "People will forget you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." - by Maya Angelou. Lexie's her role model is Mrs. Legan.  She also encourages the underclassmen to do your homework the night it is assigned and not to put it off. We wish Lexie the best in her future endeavors at SPC.
