JV Roughettes Call the Shots Against the Maidens

The Sundown JV Roughettes went head on against the Morton Maidens Tuesday night and walked away with another win in dominating fashion with a score of 61-20. They started strong and scored 16 points in the first quarter. They did not stop there because they went ahead and added 20 more points to the score right before halftime. The first half score was 36-6 with the Roughettes having a commanding lead. Coming back from halftime, the Roughettes spared no time getting in some extra points and kicked off the second half with 12 points and ended the game with 13 more to finish off the Maidens. 

The top scorers for the game were Autum Olivas who scored 16, followed by Kadee Riley and Simara Olivas with 12 a piece. Autumn also had 14 total rebounds and five steals throughout the entire game. Hannah Holdman scored nine points, with Maya Martinez adding eight. Jaymee Medrano and Marivel Acosta-Lopez dropped in two a piece. All seven players scored for the team.

Each of the Roughettes played a solid  game on both ends of the court. Kadee Riley had five steals and assists, along with Hannah Holdman, who had four of each. Maya Martinez went ahead and joined them with two assists and three rebounds. Jaymee Medrano also helped by adding two assists for the team. Mari collected six offensive rebounds.
