2022 Senior Spotlight - Avery Avery

Avery Avery, a Senior in the Class of 2022, has her sights set on studying computer science in college. Planning on attending the University of Oklahoma, Avery will head to Norman after graduation in May. Her favorite high school memory at SHS was whenever Coach Darden was backing up the track bus at a track meet, and the kids started hollering at him because he was close to backing into a truck.

Accomplishing many things in her four years, Avery started collecting her accolades with being on the honor roll, receiving 9th, 6th, and 2nd place at State Band, winning 3rd place at State CX Debate, and being a commended National Scholar for the PSAT. Avery has also involved in one-act play, basketball, track, NHS, was a drum major for the Pride of the Oil Patch Band, and was the class president the last three years of high school.

Avery’s favorite class was English with Mrs. Jones, and someone she looks up to is her mom. Avery advises all the underclassmen to have fun and not to worry too much, and that everything will work out. Her favorite quote is by Spiderman, “No man can win every battle, but no man should fall without a struggle.” We wish the best for Avery Avery in her future endeavors at OU as well as the rest of the graduating Class of 2022.
