Shelby Castillo was welcomed into the Roughneck Nation in the three- year old program. Her favorite memory from high school was the time Mathayus and Gabby got "mugged" at IHOP.
Shelby was involved in UIL for the first two years in high school, and competed in literary criticism. She also was awarded the Academic Excellence Departmental Award for Yearbook her Junior year. Shelby plans to attend the University of Oklahoma after graduation where she will study Psychology.
Her favorite quote is “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” -Nagisa Shiota. These are impactful words to live by. Shelby's role model while in school was Mrs. Bratcher. When asked if she had any advice for the underclassmen, Shelby said that they need to get enough sleep! Please wish Shelby Castillo and the Class of 2022 all the best upon graduation.
