2022 Senior Spotlight - Andrew Hernandez

Andrew Hernandez has been a part of Roughneck Nation since 4th grade and has loved it ever since. Andrews favorite elementary memory is when he played with his Pop Warner football team in Colorado in preparation for one day wearing a Roughneck jersey playing on Slaughter Field. In middle school, his favorite memory was making A team basketball in 7th and 8th grade. Andrew has many high school memories, but the one memory that sticks out to him the most is when he was named defensive player of the game against the Farewell Steers.

Andrew has enjoyed many accomplishments including the following:

Freshman: High Average Award - Algebra I, Merit Award - Algebra I, Merit Award - BIM I

Andrew has many classes he likes, but his favorite is Bible. Andrew plans to attend Texas A&M University in order to study finance and economics. Andrew's favorite quote is, “If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.” - Martin Luther King Jr.

Andrew's mom and dad have served as role models in his life. Andrew's words of wisdom to underclassmen are “Enjoy the time you spend with your friends because it goes by so fast.” And just like that, Andrew will graduate in May along with the Class of 2022!
