Gavin Hoover joined the Roughnecks just recently in 8th grade and is now ready to graduate with the Class of 2022. Hoover's favorite memory from middle school is when he would spend three to four hours in Mr. Carter's office just to skip class. In high school, Gavin’s favorite memory was when people in athletics would host their own wrestling matches.
Gavin has participated in many activities including: Football- 9th-12th, OAP- 9th-12th, Tennis- 8th-12th, and Basketball- 8th. Hoover plans on enlisting in the Army after graduation then attending Wayland Baptist University to study mathematics and become a high school teacher/coach.
Gavin’s favorite quote is, “You can't enjoy the present if you are living in the past” by Simon Westen. Mr. Buchanan has served as Gavin’s role model. Many things need to be said to the underclassmen, but Gavin’s words of choice are, “Enjoy high school because time flies.” With those words of wisdom, Gavin takes his cap and throws it in the air as he graduates in the Class of 2022!
