2022 Senior Spotlight - Laura Jasso

Laura Jasso became a Roughneck her 1st grade year. During her time of being here, she has made many memories that she will never forget. She remembers all of the exciting field trips her class took each year. In middle school she recalls when Shamarian sat on a desk in Ms. Conway's classroom, and it collapsed! As her high school days went on, her favorite thing to do was annoy teachers like Coach Gleason or Mr. Lacy.

Laura's best memory of all was receiving a silver medal in band her freshman year while marching at the State UIL Competition. It is something she will never forget! Leaving high school, Laura already knows what she has planned for her future. She wants to attend South Plains College and study nursing!

Growing up, Laura's role models have always been her mother and grandma. They have truly made a difference in her life, and she is very thankful for that. Laura’s favorite quote is by Brigette Nicole. “I am who I am. Not who you think I am. Not who you want me to be. I am me.”  Laura's friendly advice to students still in high school is to do your homework the day it’s assigned.

Sundown will miss you Laura Jasso. Good luck to your new beginning after graduation in May 2022!
