2022 Senior Spotlight - Anna Locklin

Anna Locklin has been a Roughneck since she first came to Sundown as a member of the 3-year-old program. Her favorite elementary school memory was nap time. As a middle schooler Anna ran hurdles and at a track meet she hit the hurdle and fell, leaving track burn on her face. 

Anna’s role models throughout high school were Mrs. Rich and Mrs. Goodman. Anna has had many accomplishments throughout her high school career including but not limited to: 

Freshman 18-19:

One Act Play - Production Staff (Costumes), AB Honor Roll

Sophomore 19-20:

Merit Award - Theatre, UIL - Informative Speaking / Lincoln Douglas Debate. AB Honor Roll

Junior 20-21:

Merit Award - Theatre Arts, Merit Award - Yearbook, One Act Play, UIL - Persuasive Speaking

Anna also participated in multiple different UIL events including:

Debate from 2019-2020, Persuasive speaking from 2020-2021, OAP from 2018-2021, Football manager from 2020-2022, Basketball manager from 2020-2021, Softball from 2018-2020, and Basketball from 2018-2019

Anna plans to attend West Texas A&M and major in Early Education. All of us in Sundown, America wish Anna the very best in her adventures outside of high school. One if Anna's favorite quotes by Toni Morrison is, “If you want to fly you have to give up everything that weighs you down.” Best of luck to you, Anna, and the Class of 2022 as you take on the world!
