2022 Senior Spotlight - Alice Melendez

Alice Melendez became a Roughette in 1st grade. Just a few of her many accomplishments in school include earning silver medalist in band her freshman year, TMSCA math champions, seventh chair region band her sophomore year, and sixth in the state marching contest her junior year. Her favorite memory from high school was when Ryann took coach Watson’s hat and put it on after the Ralls softball game.

Some clubs/organizations Alice was involved in are UIL math all four years, band all four years, student council the past three years, NHS her junior and senior year, and softball her junior and senior year. Alice’s favorite class in high school was leadership with Mrs. Legan.

Alice plans on attending college at Abilene Christian University to study engineering and mathematics. Her favorite quote is, ”When you get tired, learn to rest, not quit." - Banksy. Some people who have been a huge role model in her life are her parents. Her advice for the underclassmen are to find a balance between studies and activities and to remember to enjoy the good times. Good luck to Alice and the Class of 2022!
