Senior Spotlight - Isaiha Peralez

Isaiha Peralez joined the Roughneck army in junior high and is now ready to walk the stage as a part of the Class of 2022. In middle school, Isaiha had a lot of memories but the one that stood out the most, "When we all ran outside on a wet, cloudy day and nearly half of the runners slipped on the ground and got all muddy on their body or on the face. It was funny.” Moving onto high school, the memory that stood out to Isaiha the most was when he would help Mr. Rich in any project or task that needed to be done in his welding arts class.

Isaiha has received academic awards in math, reading, and welding. In high school, Isaiha’s favorite class was welding. Looking ahead to college, Isaiha plans to go to South Plains to study welding and art. Mrs. King and Mr. Rich have both served as Isaiha’s role models because they were always there for him and have never given up on him.

There are many quotes for inspiration, but the one that stuck to Isaiha is "Never give up on your dreams. No matter how many people say it’s impossible, no matter how difficult your journey is." which was made famous by Susane Colasanti. Isaiha’s words of wisdom to the underclassmen are, “You young Roughnecks, make sure you do well in your class and to keep the Roughneck spirit strong and proud.” And just like that, Isaiha will walk across the stage along with all his classmates and graduate in the Class of 2022.
