Senior Spotlight - Jeremiah Peralez

Jeremiah Peralez has been a Roughneck since 6th grade. His favorite middle school memory was of Riece Hixon falling after trying to jump and grab the back of the backboard. After a season ending injury his junior year, Jeremiah came back with a vengeance and had a successful season with 39 total solo tackles in football. His favorite memory from high school was making the last tackle of the game against Post sealing a Roughneck victory. Jeremiah has been involved with Sundown athletics participating in football, basketball, and tennis from the time he was a freshman till his senior year.

Jeremiah plans to attend Wayland Baptist, with his best friend Hoover, to study electrical engineering. His favorite classes in high school were culinary arts and plant and soil science. Jeremiah’s parents, George and Erin Peralez, have been his role models throughout high school. His advice to underclassmen is “ enjoy high school because the time flies by.”

Jeremiah's favorite quote is, “Learn as if you will live forever, live like you will die tomorrow.” — Mahatma Gandhi

Best of luck to you, Jeremiah, and the Class of 2022!
