2022 Senior Spotlight - Jonna Pool

Jonna Pool has been a part of the Roughneck Nation since the 1st grade. Her favorite memory in elementary school was when her 1st grade class surprised Mrs. Britton on her birthday. In middle school, she remembers the time she won the “Best Actress Award” when she played the role of Wendy in a One Act performance called Peter/Wendy. Although Jonna has made many memories in high school, her favorite one will be the day she graduates!

During her time of being a Roughette, Jonna has accomplished many things, and has received many awards. When she was a Freshman, she advanced to the state competition in prose and poetry. When she was a Junior, she won the State Championship in prose and poetry. She also received the All Star Cast award as well as the Best Performer award in One Act Play. Jonna is also a part of many clubs/organizations. She was a cheerleader her Freshman and Sophomore year. She was a member of girls athletics her Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior year. She is a member of the prose and poetry UIL team as well as a member of the One Act Play cast/crew all four years of high school. Outside of school, Jonna is a student at Mrs. Jill's School of Dance and  has been a member of NHS her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years. Upon graduation, Jonna plans to attend  the University of Dallas to study Business and Management.

Throughout high school, Jonna’s role model is her very own mother, Amanda Pool. Her favorite quote states, “Evil wins because good people won’t do good things.” - David Clarke. Jonna’s friendly advice to the youngsters at SHS is to use the built in logic that you have to process the long term consequences of your decisions.

Sundown will miss you, Jonna Pool. Good luck in the next stage of your life!
