Sundown ISD staff participated in RUACH days to kick-off the school year! We had a number of staff members step out of their comfort zone to provide great insight into what makes Sundown so great! It was a great 2 days of learning! Thanks to Lisa Dalton for the great pictures!

Football Scrimmage Information. FRIONA has just cancelled. We have also decided to cancel Meet the Roughnecks for tonight. It will be rescheduled.

Meet the Roughnecks tonight after the scrimmage. Athletes, HS & MS, report to the north end of the football field at 6:30pm. Coaches will meet you there to get you in order by sport and set up alphabetically. Depending on the finish of the scrimmage, we hope to start by 7:00 pm.

Moms, aunts, grandmas, sisters, or any special ladies in the lives of our football players: Come out to the Field House on Monday, August 9th at 7:00 pm for "Moms of Fall." Learn about offense, defense and special teams, as well as the rules and equipment used to play the game.

Reminder: All-Sport Parent Meeting tonight at 7:00 pm in the SISD Auditorium. This is for all incoming 7th-12th grade athlete’s parents. See you there!

To the Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of the members of the 2022 Senior Class: Wow! We, senior sponsors, can’t believe the 2021-2022 school year is almost here. I hope that you have enjoyed your summer and spent quality time with your family. We know how busy this year is going to be for your senior child and each of you. Thus, we would like to share some important information regarding your child’s opportunity to earn an end-of-year senior trip. We have scheduled an informational meeting about fundraising guidelines, expectations, and other recent changes made in order for a senior to earn their end-of-year “senior trip.” The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the auditorium. It will start at the end of the high school “Meet and Greet” session around 8:45 pm. We would like it if you and your senior could both be in attendance. During this meeting we will also answer any questions that you might have. If you and your student show up together, then your student will start off the year with 10 points applied to their point total needed in order to earn their “senior trip.” This will make more sense after the meeting. Please note that the 10 incentive points are earned only if the parent/guardian and student both are in attendance at the meeting. We hope that you enjoy what is left of your summer.
