Due to school being out next Mon. - Wed. the 7th & 8th Boys basketball game that was scheduled for Nov. 14 vs Smyer has been postponed to a later possible make-up date. Details will be sent out if the game is able to be made up. Again, NO JH BOYS games next Thursday Nov. 14 The girls are still planning on playing unless that is the day of the playoff football game.

Thank you to A'ndrea McAdams and the Sundown City Library for hosting a mock election for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. The students had to present their "voter's registration card" before they received their ballots and were able to step into the booth. They had an awesome experience.

School is officially cancelled for next Tuesday and Wednesday, November 12th and 13th (Monday, Nov. 11th is already a school holiday) for all campuses. Our Band has qualified for the State Marching Contest to be held on Tuesday, November 12th. Sundown ISD has decided to cancel school for Tuesday and Wednesday, to allow for safe travel for our Band, students, and community members to travel to San Antonio for the Band Competition. Tuesday will be a full day of competing, and the Band will return home on Wednesday. We are very proud of "The Pride of the Oil Patch" and want to allow all community members to make the trip to cheer them on! Monday is already a scheduled school holiday, so we are now adding Tuesday and Wednesday of next week as school holidays. Thank you for your continued support of Sundown ISD.
