After a Sundown turnover Farwell had the ball at our 3 yard line, the Roughneck defense held the line and didn't allow a score. On the 1st play of the next drive Nate Franco rushed for an 89 yard TD. Conversion failed. With 1:25 left in the half Sundown leads 14-6.
Roughnecks JV answers back. Brayson Fray scored from a yard out and Nate Franco ran in the conversion. 8-6 us with 6:53 left in the 2nd.
Farwell JV finds the endzone first. 6-0 them with :45 left in the 1st.

Token of Love and Respect
Friday Night was bigger than football. It was a battle cry for humanity. It gave players, coaches, cheerleaders, and band members an opportunity to show the world and those in attendance the power of love and support for one another even during battle. We are grateful for our players, Coaches, Band Directors and Members, Cheerleaders and Community for carrying out the small gestures that carry so much weight! Last year, the schools represented here this evening experienced unthinkable loss. The love and compassion of the Dalhart and Sundown communities has shone brightly through the character and resolve of our students as they have ministered to one another. Tonight, during halftime, the combined Dalhart Golden Wolf Band and Sundown Roughneck Band honored the lives of Dalhart students Yahir Cancino, Preston Ralston, and Eric Ruiz, and Kennedi Diaz from Sundown.
Roughnecks didn't get the win tonight, but man did our boys play as one and leave everything on the field. Gave a 3A D1 team everything they wanted. It's a great day to be a Roughneck!!!! Final was 27-22.
