Sundown High School Dress Up Days for Homecoming Week
SHS homecoming decorating is tonight from 5:30-7:30. Each class and their sponsors are welcome to decorate their area at that time. The Superintendent door and the ramp door will be unlocked at 5:20. Each class only has two hours to complete their decorations. Hope to see some cool and creative things!

Token of Love and Respect
Friday Night was bigger than football. It was a battle cry for humanity. It gave players, coaches, cheerleaders, and band members an opportunity to show the world and those in attendance the power of love and support for one another even during battle. We are grateful for our players, Coaches, Band Directors and Members, Cheerleaders and Community for carrying out the small gestures that carry so much weight! Roughnecks didn't get the win tonight, but man did our boys play as one and leave everything on the field. Gave a 3A D1 team everything they wanted. It's a great day to be a Roughneck!!!! Final was 27-22.

The family of Kennedi Diaz presented flowers and a small gift to the drum majors of the Dalhart Golden Wolf Band. Kennedi was a tuba player and a huge fan of the Roughneck Band and bands everywhere. On behalf of the family of Kennedi, thank you for being a part of something she loved so much. The gift basket is from “Kennedi’s Kicks for Life”, an organization that continues to share her testimony.
