Removal of the old baseball and softball turf begins tomorrow afternoon, Monday 12/27. As of now, on Thursday, 12/30 the community may begin to pick up and haul off turf. Symmetry construction will be there to help as well. Please do not try to pick up before Thursday.
Sundown Middle School staff and students honor a tradition of caroling in the community! Staff and students collected items to deliver to the elders of the community and provided them with a little Christmas spirit with some caroling along with a basket of goodies! Thanks to our loving and supportive community of staff, students and fellow community members for always rising to the challenge of giving and being kind! Today is a great day to be a Sundown Roughneck!

Sundown Middle School was recently named the Academic UIL CHAMPIONS!!! Our students showed that we are SUNDOWN SMART! Today they were treated to lunch at Chick-Fil-A, and finished up the afternoon watching Encanto at Lubbock Premiere Cinema! We are grateful to our school community for always holding our students to a higher standard! Our staff pushes the students toward academic excellence, our parents hold their children accountable, and our community always shows their love and support!

Day 7: Christmas Day! Anything Christmas works for today! It was also Christmas Accessories Day for the staff… and they had to wear what their Secret Santa provided for them! Made for an interesting day!
