Sundown 6th Graders recently attended a MS Orientation. They had an opportunity to learn about some basics as well as engage in a scavenger hunt meant to get them acquainted with the layout of the school. We are excited to welcome our new Students!

Moms, aunts, grandmas, sisters, or any special ladies in the lives of our football players: Come out to the Field House on Monday, August 9th at 7:00 pm for "Moms of Fall." Learn about offense, defense and special teams, as well as the rules and equipment used to play the game.

Wow! We, senior sponsors, can’t believe the 2021-2022 school year is almost here. I hope that you have enjoyed your summer and spent quality time with your family. We know how busy this year is going to be for your senior child and each of you. Thus, we would like to share some important information regarding your child’s opportunity to earn an end-of-year senior trip.
We have scheduled an informational meeting about fundraising guidelines, expectations, and other recent changes made in order for a senior to earn their end-of-year “senior trip.” The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the auditorium. It will start at the end of the high school “Meet and Greet” session around 8:45 pm. We would like it if you and your senior could both be in attendance. During this meeting we will also answer any questions that you might have. If you and your student show up together, then your student will start off the year with 10 points applied to their point total needed in order to earn their “senior trip.” This will make more sense after the meeting. Please note that the 10 incentive points are earned only if the parent/guardian and student both are in attendance at the meeting.
We hope that you enjoy what is left of your summer. And, we hope to see you on August 12th around 8:45pm in the auditorium.

We are always proud of EVERYONE who serves our country. But we hold a special place in our hearts for those we call our own.
In particular, a Sundown graduate of only 7 weeks left today (a month and a half earlier than planned) for the Marine Corps Boot Camp. Please keep Carlos Perez and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he begins this journey.
In addition, Senior Airman Reis Smith (2017 graduate) will be deploying in a couple weeks for Al Dhafra, in the United Arab Emirates. Again, please keep Reis and his family in your prayers as he disembarks for his first deployment.
Thank you to all who are serving and have served. We will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Your sacrifices are not going and have not gone unnoticed.
