7th grade is playing a scrimmage style and their defense was great during Abernathy’s first set of offensive plays holding them to only 1 first down and no scores.
The JH football season is about to be underway and the 7th and 8th grade Roughneck teams play in Abernathy.
September is Suicide Awareness Month. The Lubbock Out of the Darkness Walk provides an opportunity for community members to encourage, support, and remember those who have been affected by suicide. This year's Walk out of the Darkness will be a virtual event. SHS's Social Action and STUCO invite you to participate by walking at the track at 7:30 AM on Friday, September 11th. We would like to have a record of your attendance and distance walked so that our miles walked together can be counted in the Walk Out of the Darkness Lubbock Experience.
Tickets for this weeks 7th and 8th grade football games in Abernathy on Thursday at 5:00 pm are $2 at the gate.
Admission to the JV football game in Sundown on Thursday at 6:00 pm will be free.
Tickets for the Varsity game on Friday at 7:30 pm will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.
