Sundown Middle School Band Shines at All-Region!
Today marked the first opportunity for our band students to earn a spot as All-Region musicians through the Middle School Honor Band auditions, and they rose to the challenge! This year, with almost double the number of entries, 21 Sundown 6th, 7th, and 8th graders competed alongside more than 400 students from 1A-4A feeder schools and private schools across the region.
Our students balanced learning challenging music and scales while also juggling State Marching Contest, One-Act, UIL Academics, football, basketball, and maintaining their grades. Their dedication shows!
We are extremely proud of the six students who earned a chair in the All-Region Honor Band and all of our SMS musicians who represented Sundown with pride today in Hale Center!

Thanks Pete Christy KCBD for always shining a light on all the positive-athletic LIFE EVENTS that happen in sports!
