The Pink Out Bake Sale and Auction will be THIS Friday, October 6th...and this year, the proceeds will benefit the family of Junior, Peyton Richardson. Peyton's family took on the fight against cancer when his mother, Crystal, was diagnosed in June 2022 with breast cancer. She started immediate treatment but had complications along the way. This was a hard battle for their family, made harder when Peyton's father, Jay, had a stroke in February. The prayers you can offer their family and support at the bake sale will bless this family tremendously.

Hopefully the water will recede from the roads quickly now that the storm is about through the area, but please be careful driving in from Levelland. Leave a little early, take your time on the roads, even if they look clear, drive slower than normal and be safe.
Sundown ISD sends our deepest condolences to the Parkinson Family and Whitharral ISD for the loss of Tucker. In honor of Tucker and his love for 4-H, many local schools will be wearing green on Tuesday. We invite staff, students and community members to wear green to show love and support for a community that is need of prayer during this difficult time. This family, school and community are in our thoughts and prayers. Wear Green for Tucker on Tuesday!

Pride of the Oil Patch Fan Performance Tuesday Night at 9 PM! Roughneck Band fans, go ahead and park your car and head into the stands for the very first performance of the entire show! THIS Tuesday, October 3rd, Mr. Glaze will be our guest clinician for the Roughneck Band during our Tuesday night rehearsal from 7:00pm-9:00pm and we will have a public performance at 9 PM!
Sundown Family...
We are going to have a Drug Awareness Assembly on Tuesday for both Middle School and High School Students in the Auditorium. Each of these will target specific topics pertaining to drug awareness and the consequences associated with drug use and abuse. The Middle School Assembly is from 11:15 AM - 11:45 AM, while the High School Assembly will be a longer version and will run from 1:45 PM - 3 PM. We will open the Auditorium doors 15 minutes before each of the presentations begin, as parents are welcome to come through those doors for the assembly. We invite and welcome parents to attend so that we can all be educated together!
UPCOMING HS BAND PERFORMANCES
We have our performance times for the Westerner Marching Festival and for the UIL Region 16 Marching Contest. Both of these events will take place at Lowrey Field in Lubbock. We will pass along ticket information when it becomes available.
