All field events have been moved to Saturday morning. Running Prelims will start at 3:00 Friday with the 3200. All field events and finals will be on Saturday.
Today, Wednesday, April 29th, between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM, come to Slim Chickens in Levelland to support the newly named 2026-2027 Sundown Roughneck Band Color Guard! We are raising funds for new uniforms for the upcoming marching season.

Congratulations to our MS Boys Golf Team earning the District Championship and the Individual District Championship as Bentley Motheral shoots a 47 to bring home the title. Bentley Motheral, Noah Pool, Ryan Carranza and Eli Rodgers played well today for the Roughnecks. Also, Chance Adside was there to provide the moral support needed to bring home the title!
Congratulations to our Boys Golfers! They finished 8th. Isaiah Igo tied for 2nd and had a playoff finishing as the 3rd place medalist after! We're so proud of you guys!

More Sundown kids are state bound!! Silver Pando with the silver in Poetry, Ryder Stanley with bronze in Debate, Johnathon Fritz with gold in Lit Crit, and Carrigan Dietz with the silver. The team won the gold adding Nathan McAdams, A'Bree Olivas, and Lorelei Dietz! And Emma Escamilla won the spelling gold and is headed to Austin! Spelling team brought home bronze (no pic yet), but will post that on Monday. Well done Roughnecks and Roughettes!!!

Purpose: Provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill
their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula
and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels.
Education / certifications: Must be certified and able to teach Band
Attributes / Skills: Energetic, charismatic, creative, extremely flexible, responsible, able to lead
small group projects, and passionate about education.
Responsibilities: To include, but not limited to:
● Classroom teaching assignment
● Be student-centered, creative with instruction, and know how to plan and implement
effective hands-on lessons;
● Work as a member of the Sundown Middle School and SISD team to ensure the
purposeful implementation of the TEKS with a primary focus on student success;
● Work with students at varying skill levels challenging them all; and
● Take on extra duties as needed/assigned, such as: helping with UIL competitions and
tutoring.
Salary: Competitive pay
