Josh Garcia was seemingly tackled by 3 Lions for a 6 yards loss, he got out of it, reversed field and went on to gain 70! A few plays later he punched it in from 4 yards out for a TD. Conversion was no good. Sundown JV 14 New Deal 8 3:07 left in 2nd quarter.

New Deal JV ties things up at 8 with 5:30 left in the 1st half.

Brandon Flores connects with Hondo Rodriguez for a 50 yards TD pass and Ethan Garcia runs the 2 point conversion in. Sundown JV 8 New Deal JV 0 2:13 left in the 1st quarter.

Gratitude for our Homecoming Decorating Crew 2025
Now that the Homecoming festivities are over, we would like to thank Mrs. Perez and Mrs. Griffith and the members of our Homecoming Committee for spending several weeks working very hard to ensure that Homecoming 2025 was one to remember. These students met to discuss ideas for decorations, brainstormed dress-up day themes, took inventory of supplies, and then dedicated several days after school to putting together their vision for the Homecoming Pep Rally. So much work went on behind the scenes, from blowing up balloons, measuring fabric, and constructing the arch for our Homecoming Court. There were setbacks, frustrations, and lots of improvising at the last minute, but these students devoted their time and energy during an already hectic week to make Homecoming special. Thanks again!

Dr. Salazar is excited to share his latest blog post with the Sundown Community! He wrote about honoring his Hispanic heritage and how his upbringing, family values, and faith shaped his leadership journey as a principal.
