Dear SMS Family,
Christmas is just around the corner, and our Middle School is proud to continue a cherished annual tradition. Each year, our students collect and assemble items into Christmas sacks that are delivered to elderly residents throughout Sundown. On Friday, December 19th, students will personally deliver these gifts and spread holiday cheer by singing Christmas carols. It is truly a special sight to see our Sundown buses traveling through the community as students step out to share kindness, joy, and the spirit of the season. The SMS staff will help assemble the baskets, but we need help from our students to donate some items. Listed below are a few ideas to consider:
soups (easy to open), candies (hard or chocolate), individual fruit cups, cookies (snack size), chapsticks, juice bottles, Ensure/Boost cans, apples or oranges
PB crackers, granola bars, pudding (snack size), applesauce (snack size)
peanuts/nuts (snack size), raisins/craisins (snack sizes)

Anything you can think of that is convenient for them to open and use. Please have all donated items sent to school by Thursday, December 18th, so that we have time to assemble the gift baskets. MS Office will be the drop-off place.

An excellent Christmas Program was presented by the Sundown Elementary School. Grades 1-5 preformed "The Littlest Christmas Tree!" and then were joined by PreK and Kindergarten classes to sing "Silent Night" in candlelight. An amazing job by the students under the direction of Mrs. Amanda Simonds and Mr. Third Jacinto.
