2022 Academic District Meet Results
Team Results:
1st Place: Sundown [984.8 points]
2nd Place: New Home [978.6 points]
3rd Place: Ropes [896.5 points]
What an amazing day of competition from our Academic UIL Meet held on Thursday, Dec. 1st! We started off with a very strong showing in our UIL OAP competition held in November, and accumulated some great points with a District Championship in OAP! We prepared for this competition dating back to early September, and our staff and students worked consistently over a 3 month period in preparation for the big day! We continued our strong Sundown tradition by excelling in academics as we brought home yet another District Championship! We were in a battle throughout the duration of the day of the meet, staying in 2nd place throughout the day, only to find ourselves in a battle for the title with Ropes (prior to the results of spelling)... we stayed the course and continued to battle and found ourselves battling with New Home prior to the results of the writing events, only to find ourselves with a slight edge (6.2 points) to become the 2022 Academic UIL Champions!
