Speech and debate teams had a very competitive practice meet today winning many rounds of CX debate and LD debate. They competed against 26 schools ranging from 1A-6A. Walked away with 4th place CX team in Rayden Flores and Emily Rodgers, 6th place LD debater Ryder Stanley who also placed 3rd in Persuasive extemp. Kendal Taggart also won 4th in Persuasive. Easton Smith placed 3rd in Informative extemp. Lincoln Keesler placed 4th in Poetry interp and Addie Hord placed 5th in Prose interp.

Sundown Middle School students recently had the opportunity to visit and tour the new City Library! It is amazing what A'ndrea McAdams has been able to accomplish with the help and support of so many in this community! SMS Teacher, Mrs. Kari Rodgers helped to organize and facilitate the tours at the new Library and the students really seemed to enjoy it... especially the game room! Here is some basic information about the Library: Hours: Mon - Thur, 9 AM - 6 PM Services: - Free WiFi - Copy/print for a small fee (Venmo & Cash Accepted) - Study/Work Space available - Children's Play Space - eBooks & Books available Extra Info for Gamer Lounge: - Gamer Lounge opens mid-February - Permission forms and account registration required
