Snowman Soup Brings Christmas Joy to Early Elementary Students
During this Season of Giving, High School Students helped to create Snowman Soup Goodie Bags, for Pre-Kindergarten (3), Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students at Sundown Elementary School. The materials needed for this project were donated by the Student Council Organization at Sundown High School. This morning, High School Students, Benjamin Reynolds, Slaterson Little, Kyrah Puryear, Alissa Hart, Jayden Sims, Luz Lopez, and Ariana Garcia helped deliver these to the Elementary students. High School teachers, Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Gattis, and Ms. Waters also joined in on the fun! Everyone of all ages had a smile on their face, and many of the elementary students shared their gratitude with a hug or two. It is always a Great Day to be a Sundown Roughneck, and today was definitely special for all of those involved

Sundown High School students and Student Council members, Ariana Foster, Corey Goodman, Jacob Lujan, Jadon McAdams, and Nathan McAdams gave up three hours of their Saturday morning to help with the City of Sundown Library relocation. Multiple car loads, four trailer loads, and many, many, many boxes later, these students, along with Mrs. Gattis, the McAdams family, and Mr. Evans, worked hard and got the job done! There is still so much to be done before opening day, but this group was eager to help out, even for just a few hours. We all can't wait to go to the new City of Sundown Library!

Sundown Elementary is hiring a Pre-K Aide. If you are interested please reach out to Mr. Berry. An application can be filled out at the Administrative Offices during regular school hours (8am - 3:30pm) or by visiting https://www.sundownisd.com/page/employment-opportunities
