Sundown ISD sends our deepest condolences to the Parkinson Family and Whitharral ISD for the loss of Tucker. In honor of Tucker and his love for 4-H, many local schools will be wearing green on Tuesday. We invite staff, students and community members to wear green to show love and support for a community that is need of prayer during this difficult time. This family, school and community are in our thoughts and prayers. Wear Green for Tucker on Tuesday!
Night Swim is Available Tonight!
We have had the pleasure of offering Night swim for adults on Mondays & Wednesdays. We have been working through some maintenance issues with our pool, but it is ready to go for tonight. Thank you for your patience.
Pride of the Oil Patch Fan Performance Tuesday Night at 9 PM! Roughneck Band fans, go ahead and park your car and head into the stands for the very first performance of the entire show! THIS Tuesday, October 3rd, Mr. Glaze will be our guest clinician for the Roughneck Band during our Tuesday night rehearsal from 7:00pm-9:00pm and we will have a public performance at 9 PM!
Sundown Family...
We are going to have a Drug Awareness Assembly on Tuesday for both Middle School and High School Students in the Auditorium. Each of these will target specific topics pertaining to drug awareness and the consequences associated with drug use and abuse. The Middle School Assembly is from 11:15 AM - 11:45 AM, while the High School Assembly will be a longer version and will run from 1:45 PM - 3 PM. We will open the Auditorium doors 15 minutes before each of the presentations begin, as parents are welcome to come through those doors for the assembly. We invite and welcome parents to attend so that we can all be educated together!

The Community Facility is Closed on Wednesday and Sunday - Until further notice, we are shutting down The Community Facility every Wednesday and every Sunday. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our intent is to find a solution to some concerns we have had.
Just a reminder, if you have a facility access card, it should not be used to allow others into the facility. It is meant for you and your immediate family.

We have our performance times for the Westerner Marching Festival and for the UIL Region 16 Marching Contest. Both of these events will take place at Lowrey Field in Lubbock. We will pass along ticket information when it becomes available.

All MS & JV Games next week, October 5th will be held in Floydada. We were originally scheduled for home games (MS).

Brayson Fray runs in a 4 yard TD to put the Roughnecks up 36-8 with 5:37 left in the 3rd.
Toby Lopez runs it in from 4 yards out for another Roughneck TD. With 3:56 left in the half Sundown leads Sudan 30-8.
Coen Nevarez goes for 40 again and finds the endzone. Conversion was no good, but the safety we recorded earlier made up for that. It's 24-8 Sundown with 6:52 left in the 2nd.

JV Roughnecks go 98 yards on their first drive to take the lead. Brayson Fray runs in the touchdown from 1 yard and then Coen Nevarez finds Brock Bufe in the endzone for the 2 point conversion. With 2:22 left in the first it's 8-0 Sundown over Sudan.
