Roughneck Band is State Bound!!! AREA CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the Pride of the Oil Patch as they have qualified to the UIL State Marching Contest held in San Antonio on Tuesday, November 8th. We couldn’t be more proud of our Sundown Roughnecks! We came out and put on the best show of this season! They were amazing! The best is yet to come. “Be Legendary” is a great description for the 2022 Roughneck Band! This Senior Class will compete at their 4th State Marching Contest! What a legacy to leave! There is more to come!!!
Congratulations to the Sundown Roughneck Marching Band as they have qualified for the finals! They are one of 10 bands advancing and will perform their show “Be Legendary” at 9:45 PM tonight. 5 Bands from Area will advance to state! Stay tuned around 10:15 for the Finals Results!
A great performance from the Pride of the Oil Patch, the Sundown Roughneck Marching Band! They performed at 12:05 this afternoon at Lowrey Field in Lubbock, and await results. There is a chance that we will perform again, if we are announced as finalists. Here is the schedule for the remainder of the day. If you missed the show this afternoon, you may have another opportunity to bear witness to the magic that our students have in store!

Our Roughneck Band will compete this today in Lubbock (Lowrey Field) against the best bands in Area A. The prelims performance will be at 12:05 p.m. We hope you can be there!

As a class project, our Accounting I students will be running an online Spirit Store this year! All proceeds will go toward the District Wide Scholarship Fund, with a GOAL to raise $3,000! We will begin with a pre-sale including several t-shirt designs we worked on in class. We are happy to mail orders to anyone living out of town. Please represent our district and help us in supporting these students and our scholarship fund!
