#FillTheFridge
We want to thank our Sundown Community for taking action on the #FillTheFridge Movement over the past week! This movement was started by communities looking to give back to the staff & teachers that pour so much into their children! This kind gesture is such a “pick me up” for staff and they have thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and snacks that have been provided! Our community has SUNDOWN HEART and we are grateful for this kind gesture! Take this day to act on a kind gesture you have thought about putting into action. You will never regret being kind, so use today as an opportunity to do something nice for someone.

Mrs. Melissa Bratcher named new Cheer Coach!
After 6 years of dedicated service to the Sundown High School Cheerleading program Coach Brandi Webb has made the decision to step down as head cheer coach. We would like to extend a huge thank you to Mrs. Webb for the many years she directed the program.
Mrs. Melissa Bratcher will be taking over the program upon completion of the basketball season and will oversee the program beginning with the tryouts. Mrs. Bratcher brings 20 years of experience coaching cheer with her, including UIL competition cheer. Sundown ISD has made the decision to enter the competitive cheer world starting next season and will compete under the UIL umbrella and participate in the UIL Spirit competition held every January. As recently as 2020, Mrs. Bratcher’s cheer squad in Ropes finished 2nd in the 1A division at the UIL Spirit Competition. We are excited about our program and giving our squad the opportunity to compete in their own contest. Changes to the program starting with the tryout selection process and practice routines are to be expected as with any new coach, and the added opportunity our squads will have to compete at the state level.
Message from Mrs. Bratcher
Attention students 8th-11th grade:
If you are interested in trying out to become a high school cheerleader or mascot, you can now sign up in Mrs. Bratcher's room - Room V102.
The last day to sign up is Friday, February 18th at 4pm.
