KCBD community tour will go live today at 5pm and 6pm in Sunset Park! Come on by, hang around, support the community, and grab something to eat! (The poster says they are live at 6pm. It is wrong. They will go live at 5 and 6pm.). See you there! Go Roughnecks!

We are always proud of EVERYONE who serves our country. But we hold a special place in our hearts for those we call our own.
In particular, a Sundown graduate of only 7 weeks left today (a month and a half earlier than planned) for the Marine Corps Boot Camp. Please keep Carlos Perez and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he begins this journey.
In addition, Senior Airman Reis Smith (2017 graduate) will be deploying in a couple weeks for Al Dhafra, in the United Arab Emirates. Again, please keep Reis and his family in your prayers as he disembarks for his first deployment.
Thank you to all who are serving and have served. We will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Your sacrifices are not going and have not gone unnoticed.

See you next Tuesday!

See you on the 20th!

On July 20th, Sundown will be featured on the KCBD community coverage tour. KCBD will broadcast the news from Sunset Park at 5pm and 6pm. There will be hot dogs, chips, and drinks available. Come join the fun and come support our GREAT city!

IMPORTANT!!! Please read, share, and spread the word!
As many of you know, KCBD will be doing a feature on our amazing Sundown community on Tuesday, July 20. Sundown will be featured live on the 5:00 and 6:00 news. The City of Sundown, Sundown Chamber of Commerce, Sundown ISD, Boosters, our fire department, and many others are working to make this a special day!
We need as many of our band members as possible to perform the fight song for this event! If you are not on vacation, we need your help. Our band is a huge part of this community, and we want to put it on display! And I understand there will be food. 😎
***We will hold a practice in the band hall on Monday, July 19 at 1:00 pm to review the fight song. Please contact every band member you know and let them know! I will also communicate this through our Facebook page and the school's social media.
***At the event on Tuesday, July 20th, report time will be 4:30 pm at Sunset Park. I will share more details when I have them.
One more thing…I will be out of town from July 10th through the 16th, so I could really use your help to spread the word! Please make sure all of your Roughneck Band friends know about the practice on the 19th and the event on the 20th.
See you soon!
Justin Mauldin
Director of Bands

KLVT Radio will be broadcasting tonights's graduation ceremonies LIVE on KLVT AM1230, www.klvtradio.com, KLVT Facebook Live and on Sundown Sports Nation on Facebook!
Thank you KLVT for your continued support of the Sundown Roughnecks!

Tonight’s graduation ceremony has been moved to the auditorium. Those without a ticket will not be admitted. Seniors have been given an allotted number of tickets for their family and friends. The ceremony will be broadcast online for those who cannot attend. Thank you.

Seniors and families,
The graduation ceremony will be held in the auditorium. Each family has 14 tickets. 6 seats are reserved for each family in the center aisles. The extra 8 seats for each family are first come first serve.
We still plan on parents presenting diplomas to their graduate(s). Parents please sit in the outside seats of your row so that you can get to the stage without having to move around family members and others.
The parade is still on for tonight as long as it is not raining. Seniors and their drivers will go to the back of the school building and get in their cars, while everyone else exits the front of the building and prepares for the parade.
If it is raining kids will hang around and take pictures in the auditorium.
Thank you and see you all tonight!
Mr. Evans

Congratulations to all the scholarship recipients in the Class of 2021!
