Lubbock Westerner Band Festival
What an outstanding performance by the Roughneck Band at the Westerner Marching Festival! Congratulations are in order for a couple of sections in particular:
**Best in Class 2A Color Guard
**Best in Class 2A Percussion
It is so much fun to watch the progress this band is making every day! Our first show at Lowrey Field was a huge success, and we’re looking forward to one more week of preparation before UIL competition begins.

SHS Bake Sale was a HUGE SUCCESS! We want to thank our entire Sundown Community for their love and support with our Bake Sale and Silent Auction! Today, our SHS Cheerleaders presented Angie Rodriguez and her family with a check for $11,557!!! We want to continue to pray for strength and healing for Angie as she continues her journey to beat cancer! Angie served Sundown ISD for 28 years, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to bless her family during this season of life! We love you Angie and will continue to pray for complete healing. Angie had an opportunity to speak to the crowd today and was inspirational with her message of hope, love and gratitude towards her Lord and Savior and to the community of Sundown for their calls, text and support.
A huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Shanna Richardson and Mrs. Jaime Posadas for helping to organize this years Pink Out Bake Sale and Auction!
